A clear guide to the call

How It Works: What Happens When You Call

Your call is forwarded through our referral partner to a call center, available 24/7. The call center asks for the ZIP code where you need the cleanup and connects you to a biohazard cleanup company that serves that area. The call center does not perform the cleanup itself. Calls may be recorded.

Biohazard Cleanup Connect is an independent information and referral hub. It does not perform cleanup or control the company’s service terms.

A call is an inquiry. It does not confirm a cleanup booking or guarantee service.

    The call, step by step

A conversation about the request you have.

You do not need a perfect script. The call center asks where help is needed, and a cleanup company confirms its own service details directly with you.

    A call center answers

Your call is forwarded through our referral partner to a call center.

    02

The call center asks for your ZIP code

The call center asks for the ZIP code where you need the cleanup and connects you to a biohazard cleanup company that serves that area; where no company serves it, we may not be able to connect you.

    03

    The company confirms its details

That company confirms its own scope, timing and price with you.

    Before you call

A few safe details can help frame the conversation.

Use what you know. You can call with questions, even if some details are still unclear.

    • City or ZIP code

The general area where you need help.

    • Property type

For example, a home, rental, workplace, clinic, or other facility.

    • A safe, general description

The kind of cleanup or waste question, without graphic detail.

    • Scene-release status, if relevant

If an incident scene is involved, share its status only if you know it.

    Before agreeing to work

A call starts an inquiry, not a confirmed booking.

The conversation does not guarantee a referral, a follow-up response, or cleanup service. The cleanup company, if connected, confirms whether it can take the request and explains its own terms directly.

Confirm these details with the company

Each request has its own scope and terms.

    • What work is included
    • Whether it can take the request
    • Availability and timing
    • Price and job-specific details

Biohazard Cleanup Connect does not set the provider’s scope, availability, schedule, or price. Confirm details directly before agreeing to any work.

    Before choosing a provider

    Checking a company

    Who checks the companies

We do not check the companies your call reaches.

    In Florida

Florida has no separate crime scene cleanup license. The Department of Health permits trauma scene cleanup companies as biomedical waste generators; those that transport biomedical waste must register. A company listed without a 4-digit DOH number is not registered to transport biomedical waste.

Ask for the company's DOH registration number and look it up on the DOH Trauma Scene Clean-Up Providers list. Companies are listed by the county where they are based, and some serve other counties too. Confirm that the company serves the location where you need help.

    Anywhere else

Ask for proof of insurance and a written estimate before any work starts.

    Your choice

When to call a company directly instead

If you already know a cleanup company, or have found a DOH-listed company that serves your county, calling that company directly and calling (786) 628-8505 are both fair choices. Choose the way you prefer to make your inquiry.

When you are ready to ask

    Talk through your cleanup inquiry.

A call center asks for the ZIP code where cleanup is needed and may connect you to a company serving that area. The company confirms its own service details with you.
